2009 Cameron Gray Memorial Award Winner
Thursday, 7 January 2010

The Cameron Gray Memorial Award is presented each year to a client of ConnectGV to recognise their effort and achievement over the year. Cameron was a client of GV Centre (now known as ConnectGV) for many years and despite his disabilities was actively involved in community organisations and activities. Cameron passed away in February 1993 and the award was first presented in December of that year in conjunction with the Sherbourne Shepparton Apex Club. Comeron's parents and sisters travel to the presentation each year to maintain friendships and congratulate the winner. The award nominations are submitted by Day Options staff at ConnectGV and the winner is determined from the information presented. The winner, Natasha Hyndman, accepted this award during a presentation at the Shepparton Football Club Rooms on the 22nd December 2009. Natasha received the award for her achievements and commitment to work experience within a local business and the positive effects that this has had on her life. The honor of winning this award is well recognised and campaigning often begins very early in the new year. During this presentation all clients who were presented with the ConnectGV 'Client of the Month' award during 2009 were also recognised.
