The spa and sensory area provides service users with high support needs stimulation through touch, sight, sound, smell and taste.
Most participants have one on one support and have the opportunity to have a spa and/or use the GV Centre's sensory room. These rooms are side by side with easy access and supervision to both. Each room provides a source of relaxation and stimulation with the spa also having some physical benefits to participants.
The sensory room is a fantastic area full of colour, sounds and different textures in a most relaxing atmosphere. Stimulation and relaxation is provided through the colour wheel, soft music, vibrating mattress, bubble tube and tangible fibre optic lights.
There are bean bags available for those who perhaps use a wheelchair and may like to stretch out.
