Outreach Services

Service users of this program have been individually funded to allow them to develop skills to participate in life within their local community.  Participants are encouraged to take ownership of their actions and education is provided to combat difficult behaviours and situations that each individual may face. Experienced welfare workers work with each individual to implement options with reasonable goals that are achievable. Follow up is provided to ensure goals are being achieved and to work through any difficulties that arise with them.

Outcomes include, but are not limited to, relapse prevention, social skill development, anger management, educational and vocational support, independent living and participation in recreational options in the local community. Constant communication is maintained with case managers, psychologists, human relations counsellors, BIST, and directly with the Department of Human Service.
