Meet The ConnectGV Senior Staff
Scott Harris - NDIS Manager
Scott began studying a BA Business (Accounting) at CIT, transferring to BA Business (Economics) after being accepted into the Graduate Program with the Public Service Board of Victoria. Initially working for the Treasury Department on a team that introduced Program Budgeting across all State Government Departments. He then moved to Community Services & Health managing such programs as SAAP, HAAC, Program Aids for Disabled as a Budget Manager for the Municipal and Non-Government Grants Unit before representing the then Minister Caroline Hogg at the Budget Estimates Committee Hearings.
Scott then moved on to be a Partner at MHR Accounting in North Melbourne providing company taxation and general business advice specializing in the logistics and transport industry. A Fellow of National Tax Accounting Association and Director to several companies he finally sold his share in the entity and became the Financial Controller and Board Member for Australia’s largest family-owned media and newspaper group representing them for over a decade.
In 2006 Scott developed and patented an environmentally friendly reusable product that went on to save millions upon millions of tons of waste concrete in the construction industry. The Earthbolt product is still used in Melbourne, Sydney & NZ and has become the benchmark for safety in the temporary propping of precast concrete panels. After establishing the entity as a turnkey operation in early 2021 he sold it with a plan to go fishing, but soon got sick of feeding them and discovered ConnectGV.
Scott’s focus has always been in Management Accounting and great teams delivering great outcomes for clients.
